The
engineering skills of a manufacturing specialist
Swasap is a specialist in railway axle manufacture. 40 years of
dedicated precision engineering ensures a product of strength, reliability
and the highest quality.
The
manufacturing plant was custom built with the finest equipment available for
its purpose. A planned maintenance program keeps the factory in immaculate
working condition.
The GFM forge is
accepted as an industry standard for axle manufacture. Rough and finished
machining is carried out on robust, modern machines similarly commissioned
as top line equipment.
The plant is
operated by qualified and well-trained technicians, with many years of
experience in railway axle manufacture.
A trained and
dedicated workforce
Most of Swasap's line operators have in excess of 15 years of service
with the company, some many more. Their continuous on-the-job training,
pride of workmanship and long experience are guarantees of the manufacturing
unit's capability and the consistency of the end product.
Staff motivation
is high and the company's industrial relations record excellent.
Specialization has resulted not only in workers being clearly focused on
their work in hand, but being able to develop skills in more than one
discipline.
