The GFM forge is
accepted as an industry standard for axle manufacture. Rough and finished
machining is carried out on robust, modern machines similarly commissioned
as top line equipment.
Swasap axles are strong and reliable - they're
designed and manufactured to perform under the most arduous operating conditions. World
records for speed and long haul freight runs have been set by trains using Swasap axles.

dedicated workforce
Most of Swasap's line operators have in excess of 15 years of service
with the company, some many more. Their continuous on-the-job training,
pride of workmanship and long experience are guarantees of the manufacturing
unit's capability and the consistency of the end product.

certification on every axle manufactured is provided as standard practice.
The company's manufacturing process and products are regularly inspected by
internationally recognized independent inspection bodies (according to the
customer's requirements).
Inspection
and laboratory procedures
Swasap axles are monitored at every stage of manufacture. Inspection
procedures are carried out at every key stage of operations.
A
comprehensively equipped laboratory undertakes testing by ultrasonic,
chemical analysis, metallographic and mechanical means. A separate metrology
laboratory is maintained for calibration of measuring equipment. Swasap
operates its own well equipped tool room for tool and gauge manufacture.
